PSYC 0321 - The Psychology of Inequality
*The Psychology of Inequality* Through the reading and discussion of primary literature, students will examine the role that implicit and explicit stereotypes play in both creating and justifying social groups’ positions within society. Students will also study how psychological processes associated with stigma can serve to reinforce existing social inequality. Throughout the semester, students will work in groups to apply their understanding of this material to the issues raised by “Black Lives Matter” and inequities in educational performance and attainment.
