This course is designed to explore the profound influence of the Internet and the media on our political and financial views and perspectives; how conflicts arise due to misinformation and emotion evoked by the media. It also focuses on why the rise of the Internet - due to its immediate availability - speeds up the conflict process, and how governmental censorship controls people’s perspectives. It examines the broad range of activities associated with the globalization of media production, distribution and reception.
